The plate thickness of the PP spray tower directly affects the structural strength of the equipment. If the tower plate is too thin, the overall structure of the waste gas treatment equipment will be unstable. Under negative pressure operating conditions, the spray tower is prone to collapse and deformation, resulting in a short service life. The water tank at the bottom stores chemical liquid, which brings continuous pressure to the tower body and may cause weld desoldering and cracking during operation.
Since the spray tower is made of PP plastic, insufficient wall thickness leads to unreasonable internal reinforcing support structure. Thin-walled towers may be sucked flat under negative pressure and cracked under positive pressure. On the contrary, excessively thick plates cause unnecessary cost increases and raise the initial investment of waste gas treatment equipment.
The wall thickness selection follows mature empirical standards. For example, a tower with a diameter of 1 meter is optimally equipped with an 8mm PP plate. Thicker plates are difficult for rolling processing. A 6mm plate is acceptable only under low negative pressure with reasonable internal reinforcement design.
PP spray towers feature acid resistance and anti-corrosion performance.

Operation Precautions for Spray Tower
1. The equipment can only be operated when the water pump and fan are in normal condition.
2. Check all components carefully when restarting the water pump after maintenance.
3. Clean and replace the packing regularly to avoid increased wind resistance and reduced treatment efficiency. The packing is easily blocked by sundries and chemical crystals. Frequent flushing is required. The general cleaning cycle is once a year, and the replacement cycle is every three years, which can be adjusted according to actual working conditions.
4. Open the sludge discharge valve of the sediment tank approximately every one month to remove dust and impurities.
5. Ensure the water pump operates with sufficient water to prevent damage caused by dry running.
