A large amount of dust is generated during the grinding and polishing process, which causes certain pollution to the production workshop environment. The polished workpieces are mainly aluminum products and magnesium hardware products. The dust waste gas has explosion hazards during the production process. To protect the environment, ensure that the surrounding environment of the factory workshop is not polluted and protect the health of employees.

2. Pollutants and Hazards
2.1 Main Pollutants
Dust (refers to solid particles suspended in the air).
2.2 Formation and Hazards of Pollutants
Dust: The harm of smoke and dust to human body is related to particle size. Particles larger than 5 microns can be blocked by nasal hair and respiratory mucus. Particles smaller than 0.5 microns generally adhere to the surface of the upper respiratory tract and are discharged with sputum. Particles with a diameter of 0.5-5 microns are the most harmful to human body. They will not only deposit in the lungs, but also directly enter the blood and reach various parts of the human body. Due to various harmful substances attached to the surface of dust particles, inhalation will cause various respiratory diseases.
Dust drifting in the atmosphere often contains many toxic components such as chromium, manganese, cadmium, lead, mercury and arsenic. After human inhalation, particles smaller than 5μm easily penetrate into the lungs, causing toxic pneumonia, silicosis and even lung cancer. Once the pollutants deposited in the lungs are dissolved, they will directly invade the blood and cause blood poisoning. Undissolved pollutants may also be absorbed by cells, resulting in the destruction of cell structure. In addition, dust will pollute buildings and corrode ancient buildings. Dust falling on plant leaves will hinder photosynthesis and inhibit plant growth.

4. Design Objectives
After treatment, the pollutant emission at the discharge outlet shall meet the second period secondary emission standard of Guangdong local standard DB44/27-2001 Emission Limit of Air Pollutants, and comply with ISO14000 international general standard.
The dust discharge concentration is less than 120mg/m³, and the exhaust funnel is set for high-altitude discharge at 15 meters above the ground.
