The deodorization spray tower is a common waste gas treatment equipment, which is mainly used to remove pollutants from industrial waste gas and odor gas to purify the air. The detailed introduction is as follows:
Working Principle
Pollutants in waste gas are transferred into the liquid phase through sufficient gas-liquid contact to realize purification. Alkaline absorption liquid is used for chemical neutralization of acidic odor gas; acidic absorption liquid is adopted for alkaline odor gas; water-soluble organic substances are dissolved in water by physical absorption principle.
Tower Body
It is generally made of corrosion-resistant materials such as polypropylene (PP) and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), mostly in cylindrical shape.
Spray Device
It consists of spray pipes, nozzles and circulating pumps. The circulating pump transports absorption liquid from the bottom to the top of the tower, and the liquid is evenly sprayed on the packing layer through nozzles.
Packing Layer
High-efficiency packings such as Raschig ring, Pall ring and multi-faceted hollow balls are filled inside to increase gas-liquid contact area and improve mass transfer efficiency.
Defogger
Installed on the top of the tower to separate a small amount of moisture carried by purified gas, ensuring clean and dry exhaust gas.
Circulating Water Tank
It is used for storing absorption liquid, which is circulated inside the tower by the circulating pump.

Classification
It can be divided into acidic washing tower and alkaline washing tower by nature; vertical washing tower and horizontal washing tower by shape; stainless steel spray tower and fiberglass spray tower by material.

Sewage and Sludge Treatment Industry
As one of the main application fields, it treats odor gases such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methyl mercaptan and volatile fatty acids generated in grating rooms, regulating tanks, aeration tanks and sludge dewatering rooms of sewage treatment plants.
Garbage Treatment Field
It is applicable to composite odor gases produced in garbage transfer stations, landfills and incinerator pretreatment workshops, including ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, indole and skatole.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry
It can treat acidic gases (hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides), alkaline gases (ammonia, trimethylamine) and part of water-soluble organic odor gases discharged during chemical production and pharmaceutical synthesis.
Food and Feed Processing Industry
It removes fishy smell, putrid odor and fermentation odor from food processing plants (slaughterhouses, fish product factories, fermented food factories) and feed mills, as well as ammonia and volatile organic compounds released during production.

The deodorization spray tower has low treatment efficiency for water-insoluble and refractory organic waste gas (such as benzene, toluene and xylene). It is usually used in combination with processes such as activated carbon adsorption and photocatalytic oxidation.
