The cyclone water curtain cabinet, also known as water cyclone spray cabinet, is an environmental protection equipment for paint mist waste gas treatment.

Working Principle

Driven by the negative pressure fan, paint mist-containing waste gas is sucked into the equipment. Firstly, the waste gas contacts the water curtain on the water curtain plate, and most of the paint mist is washed into the circulating water tank. The residual waste gas then enters the high-speed swirling guide rail device. Under the action of centrifugal force, gas-liquid emulsification reaction occurs between paint mist and water, and particulate matter is separated and sinks into the water tank. After that, the gas passes through the packing water mist rotating layer and collides with suspended hollow packing for secondary purification. Finally, the gas is dehydrated through the demisting layer, and the qualified gas is discharged by the fan.

Structural Composition

It mainly includes water curtain plates that form multi-layer water curtains to adsorb pollutants; circulating water tanks and water pumps for water circulation; cyclone barrels equipped with swirling sheets and spraying devices to enhance centrifugal separation of paint mist; high-speed swirling guide rails to promote gas-liquid emulsification and separation; water pump nozzles for water supply to form water curtains and spray flow; demisting devices to eliminate residual moisture in purified waste gas.

Characteristics

The equipment features high purification efficiency, with a paint mist capture rate of more than 95%. The optimized circulating water system reduces water consumption. Special chemical agents can be added to prevent dirt accumulation and scale formation, extending the service life of the equipment. In addition, it has the advantages of compact structure, small floor area and low operating cost.

Application Scope

It is widely used in spraying processes of automobile manufacturing and maintenance, furniture production, machinery manufacturing, metal processing, handicraft and other industries, which can effectively treat paint mist waste gas generated during spraying.

Detailed Structure of Cyclone Water Curtain Cabinet

The cyclone water curtain cabinet is generally composed of cabinet body, water curtain part, cyclone part, air outlet part and water circulation module. The detailed structure is as follows:

Cabinet Body

As the main structure of the equipment, the cabinet body internally contains water curtain part, cyclone part and air outlet part. The bottom is a water storage section for storing circulating water.

Water Curtain Part

It is generally located at the front of the cabinet with an open side for air intake. The water curtain part is connected with the water storage section. The water circulation module pumps water from the water storage section to the top of the water curtain plate to form a water curtain for adsorbing and capturing particulate matter and paint mist in waste gas.

Cyclone Part

It is arranged behind the water curtain part, and the connecting position is higher than the water curtain layout. Multiple cyclone units are usually equipped with conical bottoms and discharge pipes. A water tank is arranged under the discharge pipe to collect separated particulate matter and liquid.

Air Outlet Part

Located behind the cyclone part, it is internally equipped with filter layers such as activated carbon filters or high-efficiency filters for further gas purification. The treated gas is discharged through the air outlet.

Water Circulation Module

The input end extends to the water storage section, while the output end is respectively connected with the spraying module of the air outlet part and the water curtain part. It realizes continuous water circulation and reuse.

Other Components

Auxiliary components include base, water tank, water pump, motor, rotating shaft and blades. The base supports the whole equipment; the water tank stores circulating water; the water pump transports water to designated positions; the motor drives blades through the rotating shaft to realize stirring and impurity scraping functions.

Circulating water reuse reduces water consumption. Matching AB chemicals can extend the water replacement cycle, reduce wastewater discharge and chemical consumption. Its operating cost is lower than dry filter solutions.

Compact Structure and Easy Maintenance

It covers a small area and is easy to install. Daily maintenance mainly includes regular paint residue cleaning, water replacement and pump & nozzle inspection. Some models require no complicated consumable replacement with low failure rate.

Wide Application Range

It can treat oil-based and water-based paint mist in furniture, automobile and machinery industries, adapting to medium and low concentration continuous spraying working conditions. It can be connected with activated carbon towers and spray towers to improve VOCs removal efficiency.

High Safety and Stability

The water curtain achieves cooling effect and inhibits solvent volatilization to reduce explosion risk. Low airflow resistance has little impact on the exhaust system, supporting long-term continuous operation.

Corrosion Resistance and Customization

304 stainless steel is commonly adopted to adapt to humid and corrosive environments. The equipment can be customized according to air volume and site size to match different workshop layouts.
